Since May 2nd 2006, we have reverted to our old appointment system of 24 hour access.
For this you ring at 08.30 am for an appointment that same day, or the next day.
As before, if you require a specific doctor you may have to wait a little longer for your appointment, but the aim is for every patient who needs to see a doctor can see one within 24 hours of first calling.
Some patients, due to work or other commitments, cannot ring at 08.30 and therefore the appointments are always gone for that day.
There are 4 pre-bookable slots per doctor per surgery. These can be pre-booked up to 4 weeks in advance. Please ask when telephoning if you require a pre-bookable appointment slot.
Thank you for bearing with us while we made these changes. After a few months of 24 hour access patients have reported being much happier with the system, complaints have stopped and staff are pleased to be able to offer appointments to patients.
